is Excited to Announce the Launch of our First Podcast
Fear of Failure, Fear of Success, The Impostor Syndrome are fears that affect our success. Do you suffer from these? I wrote the speech linked here for my 10th Speech in the Competent Communicator manual for Toastmasters International. I am a member of a company Toastmasters Club. Completing the CC as it is called is a big step for me.
Creating and launching the Goal Getting Podcast has been exciting and I have put a log of hard work in getting this launched. I have achieved my goal that I set. However, it wasn’t easy. It should have been easier this time around. I did a podcast back in 2004. It didn’t take me very long to get it up and running.
I was fascinated about motivational speakers. I loved to go to hear motivational speakers because I get really excited. It is almost riding a roller coaster. They talk about cool things like new cars, big houses, traveling in motorhomes, luxury yachts and the big dreams.
A good motivational speaker will get you pumped up, they will get you motivated. They should, that’s their job. I have walked away from these motivational speakers ready to go tear up the world!
Then my stinkin’ mind would kick in –
9 Steps to Successful Goal Achievement
I just finished writing my eBook – 9 Steps to Successful Goal Setting and was wondering if I should try to sell it on Amazon or here on my blog. I think it was timely that I ran across this post by Jeff Bullas. Jeff has pointed out a lot of great things on his post that would be very beneficial.
I plan to give my new eBook to listeners of my podcast Goal Getting – Don’t Just Set’em, Get’em – The Goal Getting Podcast at not cost, yes FREE. Look for it to launch in early January. And when you see it and send me your email, I will send you your Free Copy.
But I have to think. Do I want to sell it on Amazon. That would be cool to be a published author. It has been one of my goals. I should do what I can to achieve that goal.
What does Jeff have to say?
Should you Sell Your Book on Amazon or Your Blog via Jeff Bullas’ Blog.
Goal Achievement Is A Journey
Sometimes you must make your own path to achieve those goals.
By Tony Woodall
Host of Goal Getting Podcast
Hiking up a mountain to be able to climb the highest tree. Making your own path up that hillside to arrive at the final destination is what you have to do sometimes. If that’s what you want, you do what it takes.
When I was young, I decided I wanted to be successful. I wanted to be better than I was. I started attending seminars presented by motivational speakers. I would get psyched up and excited about the potential for my success. I noticed a lot of people like me, getting excited and psyched up about going out and achieving their dreams.
The one thing that I never remember seeing or learning while at all of the motivational seminars I attended, was How To Achieve Those Dreams. I love motivational seminars and believe they are critical for us to keep up positive thoughts when we are stressed and tired.
I don’t, however, think they go far enough to teach us how to reach those dreams, to achieve those goals we get so excited about. So, I studied goal setting. I learned more and more about what it takes to achieve goals, to Get Goals We Set! I learned to be a Goal Getter.
Goal Getting is a journey to excellence and achievement!
Yea, Why can’t you achieve your goals?
You think you’re smart, at least you thought you were when you set SMART Goals. So, why aren’t you successful?
I am sure you have heard of how setting SMART Goals are important. I have heard and recommend the use of the SMART Goal concept. According to every goal setting seminar speaker or book you read, they will tell you that Goals should be SMART.
These characteristics or traits of a goal are important in setting goals, but unfortunately, many people follow these 5 traits when they work on setting their goals. However, few are Successful. . . . OR ARE THEY?
Maybe you are Successful! “Successful At Failing”!
